Nominations for the four positions on the AKR Executive Committee (National Officers) are open.
2012 is an election year for these positions, which have a three year term.
The National Officers of the Renmei are: (a) President; (b) Vice-President; (c) Secretary; (d) Treasurer. Only Ordinary Affiliate Members are eligible for election as a National Officer.
Nominations may be made by an AKR Ordinary Affiliate Member.
Nominations must be seconded by an AKR Ordinary Affiliate Member.
Nominations must be accepted by Nominees.
Nominations may be made by e-mail or post, using the Nomination form. Nominations may also be made by email using an alternative method, providing that all details, are included. Address details are also on the form.

Nominations must be received by AKR Secretary before – 7 March 2012.
State and Board Delegates will be advised of nominations by – 14 March 2012.
AKR Annual General Meeting and Election date – 6 April 2012, 6pm AEST. The meeting will be held in Canberra, with exact location to be confirmed to Delegates in the next few days.
If only one nomination is received for a position, the person so nominated is deemed to be elected to that position. If no nominations are received for a position, nominations will be received for that position at the Annual General Meeting.
The Election will be conducted during the Annual General Meeting of the AKR, when Delegates to AKR National Council only may exercise a vote.
