The First Asia Oceania Kendo Championships were held at Tokyos’ Tokyo Budokan arena on 30 and 31 May, 2026.

Thank you also and congratulations to the Australian Team for a wonderful effort! All members showed not only great commitment in preparation, but also displayed an amazing effort on the shiaijo. Well done and congratulations to all, we are proud of you all!!
Team Manager, Ken Okomaoto sensei wrote “Not only were we able to achieve solid results at this tournament, but each athlete also gained great confidence heading toward next year’s WKC, while discovering new challenges to overcome individually.
