The Kendo Board is pleased to share that the Competition Rules and Draws for the 48th Australian Kendo Championships are now finalised and available.
The documents can be accessed at the following links:
- Competition Rules PDF
We ask that all competitors, Coaches, Team Managers and Shinpan review these documents carefully prior to the AKC to ensure familiarity with the competition format, rules, and scheduling; in particular the updates noted above.
Also, a reminder that all Shinpan, Coaches and Team Managers are invited to attend the Shinpan Seminar on Friday, 3 April 2026, at 14:30 – 16:15 (please arrive dressed in Kendogi), as well as the goodwill keiko that will take place following the Shinpan Seminar (16:15 – 17:00). Please note that this godo-geiko is only open to Shinpan, Coaches and Team Managers; no competitors will be allowed to participate.
If you identify any discrepancies or have questions regarding the draws or rules, please submit your queries to the Kendo Board via kendoboard@kendoaustralia. asn.au.
If any of your competitors need to withdraw from the event, please let the Kendo Board and the Competition Manager (president@qkr.asn.au) know as early as possible.
Thank you all for your continued support and cooperation. We look forward to an exciting and successful AKC.
Warm regards,
Jane Hung
