Dear Members,
Mr. Yuji Sano has resigned from the AKR Kendo Board after many years of involvement and contribution. On behalf of AKR members, we would like to thank Sano sensei for the dedicated work he has done over many years to help the advancement of Kendo in Australia.
Due to the vacated position and according to the AKR Constitution, nominations for the vacancy were called for on 15 February and closed on 2 March 2013.
Subsequently, the AKR Kendo Board has elected Ms. Hayami Aboutaleb, Kendo 5th Dan, from the South Australia Kendo Association as the new Kendo Board Member.
We congratulate Hayami on her election and thank her for accepting the nomination.
