It is a sad day for Australian Kendo.
Last night, sensei Ron Bennett passed away quietly.
Ron, as he liked to be known, was a founding member of Australian Kendo in the 1960’s and since then, Ron has continued to be a driver of the development of kendo in Australia. His efforts and interest was consistent, strong and supportive over all those years.
Ron was also a mentor, support and good friend to many, many of us.
Our sympathy and condolences are extended to Rons wife, June and the whole Bennett family.

The funeral for Ron Bennett will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday 15 May at Beresfield Crematorium, Anderson Drive, Beresfield, New South Wales.
A light lunch nearby will follow at the Beresfield Bowling Club, where all friends and family are invited.
