{"id":1636,"date":"2012-01-20T15:32:38","date_gmt":"2012-01-20T04:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kendoaustralia.asn.au\/content\/?p=1636"},"modified":"2012-05-14T12:08:02","modified_gmt":"2012-05-14T01:08:02","slug":"akr-member-selected-for-fik-anti-doping-hearing-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kendoaustralia.asn.au\/content\/?p=1636","title":{"rendered":"AKR member selected for FIK Anti-Doping Hearing Panel."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Australian Kendo Renmei is very proud to announce that one of our members has been selected as a member of the International Kendo Federation (FIK) Anti-Doping Hearing Panel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1637 alignleft\" title=\"catherine-hallgath\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kendoaustralia.asn.au\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/catherine-hallgath.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"80\" height=\"80\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The decision was made at the recent International Kendo Federation Board of Directors Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine Hallgath of the Sydney Kendo Club in NSW, a former AKR Vice President and has represented Australia at World Kendo Championship events. \u00a0Those attributes, added to her experience as a lawyer were considerations when making the appointment.<\/p>\n<p>The Hearing Panel has been established to consider appeals (if any) related to the use of prohibited drugs by competitors at international kendo competitions.<\/p>\n<p>The Hearing Panel members are &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Norman Otani (USA): Lawyer, &#8211; Chairman of Hearing Panel;<\/li>\n<li>Christian D\u2019Orangeville (Canada): Veterinarian;<\/li>\n<li>Shigeki Asahi (Japan):Doctor;<\/li>\n<li>Nobuyuki Miyasaka (Japan): Doctor;<\/li>\n<li>Paul-Otto Forstreuter (Germany): Doctor;<\/li>\n<li>Catherine Hallgath (Australia): Lawyer;<\/li>\n<li>P\u00e9ter S\u00e1ndor (Hungary): Lawyer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Australian Kendo Renmei is very proud to announce that one of our members has been selected as a member of the International Kendo Federation (FIK) Anti-Doping Hearing Panel.
