CHANGES TO AGE AND DEFINITION OF JUNIOR MEMBERS
AKR has decided by a Special Resolution approved by National Council, to redefine and clarify the status of "Junior Affiliate Members". A “Junior Affiliate Member” means a financial member of an Affiliated Body who is younger than sixteen (16) years of age or whose sixteenth (16th) birthday occurs on or after the first day of the current Membership Year...
This means that a member who is under 17 and doesn’t turn 17 during the membership year is a Junior. If the member has a 17th birthday during the membership year, they must be registered as an “Ordinary Affilliate Member” (senior) and also pay the appropriate fees.
